Für mich sind die einfachere Instandhaltung, die Spreizung der Fahrstufen und der Vorteil des Schaltens im Stand, da können mit gelegentlich fehlende 2km/h ziemlich egal sein.
Für mich ist der größte Vorteil die Tatsache, das man nur mit einem Schalter schaltet und die Gangabstufung sehr gleichmäßig ist. Das finde ich sehr komfortabel.
Ich fahre auch manchmal mit einem Reiserad mit Kettenschaltung, aber da muss ich immer darauf achten, ob ich den nächsten Schaltvorgang vorn oder hinten ausführen muss und ich habe ungleichmäßige Schaltsprünge. Und wenn ich im Dunkeln fahre, verliere ich schnell den Überblick, auf welchen Zahnrädern ich im Moment vorn und hinten gerade bin und fahre dann mitunter ungewollt ungünstige Kombinationen.
Die Diskussion um die Wirkungsgrade beschäftigt mich nicht allzu sehr. Nach meinem Eindruck dürften die Unterschiede nur gering sein und von daher sind sie für mich unbedeutend.
