you did an interesting trip, great. Somehow the page from the yandex server loads a bit slowly on my system, and even worse, it gets rendered in a rather weird way. Could you try to work a bit on the layout, please, as I feel more people would like to read it?

Great post Alexey and very nice pictures as well. I love Turkey, I have been several times but not on a bike. I think I have seen most of the routes you describe. I drove from Antalya to Bodrum one summer with Lina and our son. Maybe I will go again with the bike in the early spring, March or April. The drive from Jordan is about 12 hours by car which is not much. Keep riding- Saad

Thank you for reply. Please, try to set monitor resolution 1024x768. In this case, the page should look correctly. If this will not be effective or will take effect, please write me about it velo-idea@yandex.ru . As to yandex servers, it takes several seconds to load the page to my computer. I don’t how to speed up the loading to your system and what is the problem.
Probably I should make a remark about proper monitor resolution on the page. Sorry, I don’t now how to make the page in that style suitable for any resolution.

I am glad to see you here again! I hope it wasn’t too cold for you in Czech in October. It is snow already in Moscow. Real winter has come here.
I had many prejudices about Turkey. They vanished there in a flash. I love this country too. May be I will go there again, I don’t know when. To get vacation is my biggest problem now, and I am happy that I have made this tour.

Hi Alexey, i'm so glad to enjoy your trip in my country. I live in Gokova in summer time. Unfortunately when you were in Gokova, i was in Marmaris so we didn't meet in Gokova. i ride every morning on the road where you slept ( road with Trees ) if we could meet i would give you more good route's to riding.
On 4th of November me and two of my friends rode to Bodrum from Gokova. It took two day's ( 138 km ) and when i saw your pictures, they remembered me that trip. may be i can post pictures later on this forum.
Anyway if you come to Turkey again i can help you to choose your routes and destinations...

Thanks for reply. Two days from Gokova to Bodrum is too short time to enjoy that nice road for us . But that would be the great result if it was a challenge!
I’m sure you could tell us more about bike touring in Turkey. All information about our route was taken from the Russian Internet only. I knew exactly that the road from Gokova to Bodrum via Karaova exists in reality. I also knew about the way, which goes parallel the road 400 through “saklikent canyon” to Xanthos and about the way from Fethie south through mountains, so-called “Lician way”. Our tourers have cycled there. However, it would be much more interesting for me and not only to know about your best routes in Turkey, as well as to look at your pictures or to read the travelogues.
Turkey is a good choice for unsupported touring for Russians because we have not the visa problem there also. Thanks again for this hospitality. I can’t say that in regard to my country, because I know that the things go not in the same way for Turkish citizens in Russia.

Hi Eagean, I am always in search of cyclists in Turkey. A group of us plan to go from Jordan to Turkey sometime in early summer, April, May or June and need to discuss routes etc... with you. I have been to Turkey several times but not on bicycle. Of ocurse our plan is to go to the famous Cappadoccia ... it is a relatively close drive from Jordan/Syria and good for mountain cycling. Hi Saad, sorry for late answer, i was very busy last week.
So if you come to Turkey i can help you about southern-west part of Turkey for example Marmaris, Bodrum, Fethiye, Izmir, Mugla, Pamukkale like this touristic city and towns and routes. I have been in Cappadoccia but not with my bicycle so i can't tell you routes but i can say it's amazing over there, i can highly recommend you. Also i have friends who lives in Cappadoccia. If you want to meet them you can visit www.bisikletforum.com it's bicycle forum. It's in Turkish but some of them can answer you in English. If you will have trouble to login tell me i can help you about logging in.
I don't know if its possible to coming to Turkey from Jordan with ferryboat but that would be the best way. If you decide to arriving point in Turkey we can discuss about your options.
