Hi all,
The government of Himachal Pradesh is organising a 7 day mountain biking endurance run in October 2005. The dates of the event are October 7th - October 13th. The event starts from Shimla does a loop around the hills to get back to the night halt. Then it moves up to Narkanda and District Mandi. where it again does a loop. The final phase of the event is in District Kangra with the 7 day thing ending in Dharamshala. The route followed all through is through the backcountry and involves some excellent trails. One can expect downhill, singletracks and loads of quaint country roads. It all comes at a pretty resonable price @ 300/-$ per participant which includes all back up, accommodation and transport. The entries are open. It is a part of the himachal governments drive to promote the sport in the state. For more details one can mail at hastpa@gmail.com or mtbhimachal@gmail.com .... I am sure himachal should be a good destination with all its trails ...
