Around Australia08-09

Hi

I’m 23 years old and live in the centre of Switzerland.
In the middle of 2008 I’m going to Australia to ride around with my bicycle.
To reach my aim, namely surrounding Australia within a year, I would have to cover a distance of about 60 kms per day.
The entire trip is going to take me about a year but as I am very spontaneous, my plans might be changed if there was a enjoyable place to stay for a week or two.
I’m not experienced in travelling by bicycle so far but with my physical fitness and my thirst for adventure I can't imagine any barrier to stop me.

I am a spanish guy and I have also been thinking of going to australia to make a journey around the country. In fact, it is one of my dreams. I am also 23 and I will be free since june 2008.

I have no experience traveling by bike, but I am fit and lately quite sportive, so I guess would not have any problem.

If you've some advices about the route, witch kind of bicycle i've to take, how much the life cost, I'd be grateful..
I just ordered some books about traveling by bicycle and if i've some good tipps, i'll comunicate it!!
