Recumbent - 07/08/05 04:26 PM

Hi all,
I have now taken the plunge and bought / ordered a Streetmachine GTE , ( still two weeks to wait frown )

On the up right cycle we can fix a map holder onto the Handlebar bag, now with the recumbent that is no longer possible. Does anybody have a salution ?? I thought of sewing a velcro band onto the lid of the lowrider bag, sothat the map is below and to the left foe eg

Look foreward to hearing Your ideas

Another solution would be to put the map into a transparent film and hang it around your neck using a piece of string. I did it that way on my last trip and it worked very well. A + against the GPS-solution is that you don't need any electric energy ;-)

Hi Martin
thx for the tip, I'll give it a try and see if it works as a back up while I still get used to the GPS.

I have gone over to click pedals now as I find it far better for foot support especially when its raining. However I find My toes are going numb. I will be interested if anybody has experiance with or has heard about this problems..

Hello Red,

wear your shoes loose and make sure you are pulling on pedals as well as pushing. This works for me.
Or try thicker socks.
